So this summer was my third and final year doing CCS's Pre-College Summer Experience. This year I studied Athletic Shoe Design, which is just a more specific part of Product Design. Our assignment was to select a company of our choice and design an athletic shoe according to a sport and company of our choice. While everyone chose companies well know for shoe design like Nike, Warrior, or Reebok; I decided to think outside of the box. I chose Aperture Science from Valve's wonderful game Portal, Portal: Still Alive, and Portal 2. I designed athletic shoes using the Aperture Testing Long Fall Boots as an inspiration to fit a Parkour Runner. This is the process work that went into the look of the final project, which will be uploaded at a later date.
